Balancing Story & Structure to Compel People to Action

Welcome, fair stranger

We are a network of world-class performance marketers and strategists. Our work builds wealth for under-resourced communities, creates opportunities for environmental stewardship, and makes space for queer & BIPOC representation.

  • Firms servicing cities and government bodies require unique support when it comes to messaging strategy and design. We incorporate a design thinking approach to projects involving stakeholder engagement, planning, and coalition building.

  • For 501c3s looking to capture donor insights, advocate through social platforms, or organize messaging across multiple touchpoints — we redeploy proven tactics from DTC ecommerce to help advance your cause.

  • We know how to coalesce teams + services across marketing, brand, and media. If you’re an agency owner looking to launch a new service or product, support your internal team’s development, design systems to scale, or hire a fractional leader to step in while you take a breath — we can come alongside you as you guide your agency into it’s next phase of growth.

  • Whether you’re looking to protect market share, improve brand recall, acquire new customers, or launch a new product — our performance creative retainers include customer research, monthly creative reporting, testing strategies and tracking, new offer design, brainstorming concepts, and sourcing production partners (in-studio, lifestyle, or UGC/Creators).

Great strategy starts with
crafting better questions.

Hi all — I’m Alex👋🏽

Founder & Managing Partner of NEED THIS FOR WORK.

Crafting better questions is a skill my team and I have developed through years of solving complex problems in business strategy and creative leadership.

We’ve touched every step of the growth process — ad creation, production, customer research, brand positioning, marketing calendar design, and systems design. We know what a great (and poor) relationship with customers, coworkers, and communities can do.

Here are some question starters we can explore together:

  1. Do folks truly care about what you’re offering?

  2. Are your products merchandised in a way to maximize profit?

  3. Is what you’re putting into the world helpful or harmful to your long-term goals?

FAQs

  • What is your hourly rate?

We charge $300 an hour for one-off working sessions, coaching calls, fractional roles, and app/product feedback. If you anticipate needing ongoing support that will last more than three sessions, we can scope a retainer option to save you some cash.

  • Do you offer Reparation Pricing?

Yes — if the majority of your business owners self-identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian and/or a person of color, we provide 10% off all services and products.

*These reparations are not a scholarship fund and we do not assume that individual BIPOC collaborators lack access to wealth — this is being offered in an attempt at integrity and a hope for collective liberation.

  • Do you work with clients in-person?

We do — especially when our work together spans workshop facilitation, production, or speaking engagements. If you anticipate needing some in-person work please don’t hesitate to let us know during our introduction call. Travel, materials, and group size will be scoped separately.
